Loitering - a danger to the people.

Damnit, I loitered to write this.

Loitering: Generally the rule in stores is as long as you buy something every hour, you're not loitering, which I suppose is fair enough, but it SEEMS they have changed the rules. Last I checked, changing the rules in the middle of a game was just plain bullshit, but here you go.
So I was at my local shopping complex, waiting outside a store to meet a friend. A group of my friends (3 teenage boys, they dress in the emo sense but are quite pleasant people yes?) walked over to me and told me the friend I was waiting for was upstairs. So after some friendly banter, I walked away, I was about 10 paces away when I hear
“Oi! Can't you read the sign?”
A security guard had just walked up to my friends, and was going off at them about 'loitering'........
Now it turns out the new loitering policy is this:
No group of 4 or more can stand in the one place for over a minute.
I'm sorry, but I demand an explanation for this bullshit. I'm not even knotting my panties about the stupidity of this rule, but the way in which they enforced it.
The guard didn't say anything to me; a girl standing there for about 15 mins in her school uniform. Yet he more or less raped the shit out of my companions as soon as I walked away (less than a minute later) and they were only a group of 3 (so much for the 4 part of the policy)
When I was standing with these same people, and a few others later this afternoon, we got pulled up AT LEAST 3 more times by some overweight mall-cop who's wife probably left him for having such a dead end job. What. The. Fuck. We weren't even allowed to sit on benches. BENCHES! We had to make sure to be in a different location every minute, and I hate excessive exercise.
The most annoying part: if a 5 member family (2 adults, 3 kids) were standing around, do you think THEY would get pulled up for loitering? No, of course not. No guard would give two shits if the whole bloody dribble bus had a bush dance in the square, but how DARE us 5 teenagers DARE stand in one place for over a minute. How could we commit such a monstrosity? It's despicable.
But I have to say it's kinda cool to be able to instill that sort of fear by just standing around.
FYI: you've been reading this for over a minute, I'm going to have to pull you up for loitering on this web page sunshine.
